Obituary
POULTNEY
Jasper Benedict, an old resident of East Poultney, dropped dead Saturday afternoon about 3 o'clock while unhitching his horse which was tied in the barn in the rear of the M. E. church. Mr. Benedict is survived by a widow and two sons. He was a member of the Grand Army and has been treasurer of Joyce Post for many years.
The funeral of Jasper A. Benedict, who died suddenly Saturday afternoon will be held at the house Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. The G. A. R., will have charge of the funeral.
