Levin C. Harris

Rutland Daily Herald, May 15, 1908:

Levi C. Harris, aged 70 years, died of senile debility yesterday morning at his home on Watkins avenue. He was a veteran of the civil war, enlisting in the second New York cavalry at Westport, N.Y., in 1865. Mr. Harris was born in Moriah, N.Y., but had lived in Charlotte and Middlebury a number of years and for the last 16 years had made his home in this city.

He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. C.D. Estabrook of Claremont, N.H., Mrs. G.A. Miller of Bellows Falls and Mrs. L.E. Matthews of this city, a son, R.L. Harris of South Norwalk, Ct., four brothers, Guy of Milton, Asa of Ticonderoga, N.Y., Fayette of Dalton and Henry of West Addison.

The funeral will be held at the house tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock.
