Obituary
John C. Lemay died last night at his home on Northfield street, after a long illness with heart trouble. Mr. Lemay, was born in St. Thomas, Can. 69 years ago, coming to Montpelier twelve years ago from North Montpelier, being a shoemaker by occupation. He was a veteran of the Civil war and a member of Brooks post, G.A.R. To Mr. and Mrs. Lemay were born thirteen children, of whom eight survive, with the widow.
