Obituary
Prof. Volney G. Barbour of the University of Vermont died Tuesday in a a sanitarium in Minneapolis. He was a native of Connecticut, served with a regiment from that state in the civil war, and graduated from the Sheffield scientific school of Yale in 1857. He had filled the chair of civil engineering in the University of Vermont the past 31 years.
