Obituary
A. E. Allen of Fair Haven, a Civil war Veteran, Dead
Fair Haven, Jan. 22. - Austin E. Allen, one of the oldest residents of this place, did at his home on West street at 3:30 o'clock this afternoon after a short illness of hemorrhage of the brain. He was 85 years old and is survived by one daughter, Mrs. H. E. Hemenway of Granville, N. Y., one son, Waldo of New York city, one sister, Augusta, of Tennessee, and one brother, Harvey of New York city. He was a veteran of the Civil war, belonging to a Massachusetts company.
