Obituary

Lyndon

Jairus W. Hodge died Thursday afternoon after a long and painful illness, aged between 70 and 80 years. He was born in the town of Waterford of parents who came to this country from some part of the Scandinavian peninsula. Beneath a rough exterior Mr. Hodge carried a heart of unusual tenderness toward birds and all animal life. He leaves a wife. He was a soldier in the Civil War and had very recently been granted a pension.
