Obituary
The funeral of John C. Winn, 78, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Davenport, in Rowe, Mass., Aug. 14, was held in the Universalist church Saturday, Rev. Flint Bissell of Wilmington, officiating. Mr. Winn married Miss Ella Crosier and they celebrated their golden wedding Aug. 16, last year. He was a Civil war veteran. Besides his wife he leaves five children, Cassius of Orange, Mass., Ralph of Bennington, Walter and Miss Marian Phillips of Halifax and Mrs. Maud Davenport of Rowe, all of whom were present at the funeral. Mr. Winn was a kind husband, father and neighbor, and had many friends. The burial took place in the village cemetery.
