Obituary

George Whipple died Friday, Dec. 4, at the home of F. H. Fox in this place. Mr. Whipple had been in failing health for the past year, but was able to be about until Monday before his death. He was born in Lisbon, N.H., and was in his 78th year. He served in the war of the Rebellion and was a member of the Tunbridge G.A.R. post. The funeral was held at the home of Mr. Fox Sunday morning, Rev. Mr. Bennett of South Strafford officiating. The interment was in the Strafford cemetery.
