Obituary

Mr. Charles Towslee died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E. F. Viets in Elmwood on Tuesday morning after an illness, aged 89 years. He was born in Bennington, Vt. He served in the Civil war as a sergeant in Co. B, 14th Vt. Vols., enlisting Aug. 27, 1862, and being honorably discharged July 30, 1863. He is survived by his wife Olive, three children, Mrs. Kate Weeks of Granville, N. Y., Mrs. E. F. Viets of East Bridgewater, Mass., and R. A. Towslee of Landgrove, Vt., three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon at the home, East Bridgewater, Mass.
