Obituary
Ralph E. Weller
Ralph E. Weller, a resident of this city for the last 57 years and a veteran of the Civil War, died early yesterday morning at his home, 229 Pearl street, following a short illness.
He was born in Hinesburg on May 17, 1840, the eldest son of Asa and Mary (Eaton) Weller.
Mr. Weller was a member of Volunteers Company G, 14th Vermont Infantry, during the Civil War, and was a member of the First Church.
He leaves two daughters, Miss Bessie H. Weller and Mrs. Gilbert F. Rist, both of Burlington; two sons, Edmond B. Weller of Union, N.Y., and Frank R. Weller of Seattle, Wash.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock at his late home. Interment will be in the family lot in Lake View cemetery.
