Obituary
Charles Whitlock, a native of this town, who in 1849 went to California, served through the war, and who six years ago took up his residence in Rochester, Vt., died last week from cancer in the stomach, aged fifty eight. He leaves a wife, daughter, mother and sister. A few years since the Whitlocks were prominent but now there is not a male Whitlock in town.
