The funeral of Herbert Brainerd, who died Monday night at St. Albans, was held there yesterday afternoon. He had represented his country and town in the state Senate and House. He was a veteran of the civil war and had been post and department commander of the Grand Army. For many years had been a prominent merchant in St. Albans and an official of the Central Vermont railroad. He leaves, besides a widow, three children, three brothers and three sisters.Contributed by Tom Boudreau.
