Phineas D. Harrington, a Civil War veteran, who for 10 years had been a resident of Mendon, died Monday from the result indirectly of a wound from a fragment of shell at the battle of Cold Harbor. Mr. Harrington was 78 years old. He served nearly four years in Co. D, 105th Pennsylvania volunteers.
