Obituary
MELROSE
Jerome B. Johnson died Thursday night at the home of his son, Clarence O. Johnson, Upham st. He was born in Berlin, Vt., 77 years ago, and last summer he and his wife celebrated their golden wedding. During the civil war he enlisted at Springfield in Co. I, heavy artillery, and served till the end of the war. He was a member of U. S. Grant post, G. A. R., and made his home here for 20 years. He left a wife, one son and a grandson. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon and will be attended by U. S. Grant post.
