Obituary

OBITUARY

John Allen, a veteran of the Civil war, died Monday evening at the home of his nephew, Hassan Davis. Mr. Allen was in his 83rd year and had been in feeble health the past two years and could not withstand an attack of pneumonia, which was of a short duration. He had made his home in New Haven the past two years. Funeral services were held from his late home on Thursday at 2 o'clock, Rev. E. V. Young officiating. He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Jane Davis, one nephew, Hassan Davis, and family. Burial was made in Evergreen cemetery.
