Biography
JAMES J. AMBLER
Was born in Huntington, Vt., November 16, 1832. Enlisted from his native town September 10, 1862, as private. Company F, 13th Regt., Vt. Vol. Inf. Mustered in October, 10, 1862, was with the company in all of its engagements. Mustered out July 21, 1863, and went West soon after. A mechanic by occupation, author of several good songs. Died at Wapello, Iowa, February 23, 1905, leaving three children.
