Obituary
GREENSBORO BEND
Burt B. Amsden died at his home on Wednesday, Oct. 8, after an illness of one month, aged 75 years, two months and 14 days. Mr. Amsden was a resident of North Walden until last fall when he moved to this place. He was an esteemed citizen, a kind neighbor and a member of the G. A. R. Since boyhood he has been a faithful, active and consistent member of the Methodist church. He will be greatly missed, not only in the church and in his own home where he was a true husband and devoted father, but by a large circle of friends and acquaintances. He leaves a wife, one daughter and two sons, who have the tender sympathy of the community. The funeral service was held at the Methodist church, Friday, Oct. 10, attended by Rev. N. A. Ross.
