Obituary
ESSEX JUNCTION
Death of George Atherton, a Veteran of the Civil War.
George Atherton, aged 68 years, died at his home in Essex Center yesterday afternoon of Bright's disease. He is survived by three brothers, Henry of Essex Center, and Samuel and John of this place, and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Bradley of Jeffersonville. He was a member of the 17th Vermont regiment. The funeral will be held at the Methodist Church at the Center Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock and the burial will be in charge of the G.A.R.

.ESSEX JUNCTION
Funeral of George Atherton with G.A.R. Honors
The funeral of George Atherton was held at the Methodist Church at Essex Center yesterday forenoon. The Rev. Mr. Blodgett officiated. The service at the grave was in charge of R. S. Sherman Post, G.A.R., of this village.
