Remarks: Remarks from NY Adjt Records: Tried by GCM, charge of desertion. absented himself without authority from his Batty Sept. 9/63. Arrested at Camp Barry D.C. Feby 16, 1864, having in the meantime enlisted in the 3rd Vermont Batty. The sentence is not confirmed. He is remanded to duty with the 3rd Vt. Batty. per S.O. #59 HQ Qrs Insp. of Artillery Washington, Apr 6 1864
