Obituary
J.A. DAVIS DEAD.
Wolcott, Sept. 11. - The funeral of the late Joseph A. Davis, who died here Sunday of heart failure was held today and the body taken to Bethel for interment.
He was at one time a well known resident of Rutland, being employed in the Rutland railroad shops prior to his removal to this place about 15 years ago. Mr. Davis was born at Stamford, Conn., Feb. 5, 1827, and was consequently, 73 years of age at the time of his death. He was a veteran of the civil war. Mr. Davis leaves one son, Theodore A. Davis of Rutland.
