Charles H. Wakefield
Well Known Resident Died This Morning at Soldiers Home

Charles H. Wakefield died at the Soldiers' Home this morning after a long illness.

He was born in Bath, Me., in 1825, therefore was 85 years old. He served in the navy during the Civil war, as acting third assistant engineer, on the frigate Jackson, and was admitted to the Home October 16, 1908. He was well known here and had a large number of friends.

Mr. Wakefield leaves a wife but no children.
