Obituary
William J. Satchell
The remains of William John Satchell, whose death occurred in St. Albans on Thursday at the age of 81 years, arrived in Burlington, Saturday noon. The funeral was held at the home of A. W. Davis, 14 Bright street, with burial in the family lot in Lake View cemetery.
Mr. Satchell was born in South Carolina (sic) and served with the Union army, coming North after the war. For many years he was employed as coachman by the late Dr. B. S. Nichols in this city, afterwards moving to Elizabethtown, N.Y. Mr. Satchell went to St. Albans several years ago and made his home there. He is survived by his wife, Sophronia Davis; by two sons, Charles H. and Leroy E. Satchell of St. Albans; by three brothers-in-law, F. E, A. W. and A. H. Davis of this city and by two grandsons.
