Obituary
Civil War Vet Expires.
Brookings, S. D., June 2. -- Special: H. H. Avery, a civil war veteran, and for 54 years a resident of Brookings county, died here at the age of 87 years. He was born in Vermont in 1840 and settled in Dakota territory in the early 70s. Cancer of the stomach was the cause of death.
