Local Notes and Gossip

Caleb B. White, a native of Brattleboro, died at the Soldiers' home in Bennington (sic) Saturday at the age of 67 years. He had lived a greater part of his life in Templeton, Mass., and was admitted to the home October 1. He was sergeant of company H, 23d Massachusetts regiment; 2d lieutenant of company C, 35th U.S. colored troops and captain company F, 104 U.S. colored troops.
