George E. Davis, Co. D, 10th Vermont Infantry.

Cased tintype purchased from the 'Davis Family' in Burlington Vt. I took a chance on it even though there was some cracking to the surface emulsion, thinking it might be George E. Davis of Co. D, 10th Vermont. Little did I realize when I bought it, Davis received the Medal of Honor. I have compared it to an early drawn image [see below] and am of the opinion it is one and the same given facial features, hairline, eyebrows etc.
