Connecticut

Dwinnell, Silas Oscar, After the war he and his wife moved to Shelton, CT where he earned his living as a self employed mason contractor. (Robert DeForest, Silas's great-grandson)

Macha/Messier, George lived for many years in Fall River, Mass. He later bought property in Columbia, CT, then decided to settle in nearby Windham. He married twice, and fathered at least 13 children. He died 28 June 1919 here in Willimantic, Connecticut. His brother, Peter also served in the Civil War. Contributed by Charlene Crosthwaite, his great-granddaughter.

Eustis Rich: Enlisted 2/3/1864, Mustered In 3/3/1864 as Pvt, Mustered Out 7/14/1865 as Corporal. Married Miss Rogers. In 1868 had a son Gustave(Augustas)Rich. Migrated from St. Albans, VT to Rockville, CT where he died Nov 16 1893 and is buried. Contributed by his 2nd-great-grandson, William Andrew Gutt II.
