Lord, Steven D. (17th Inf); Steven was originally from ME. He ran away from home and joined the 17th with his cousin, Moody Haskell (KIA, Cold Harbor) who was from VT. After the war, he returned to his home town of Lebanon, ME where he is interred. (descendant)

Woodsum, John E., he was under age and left Maine to join in Brighton; wounded at Port Hudson, LA; returned to ME and became blacksmith in Harrison. Received $8.00 a month as wounded veteran. (Lester Smith, his great-grandson).
