Bellware, Louis (aka Lewis Benway), a native of Montreal, deserted the 9th Vt. Infantry on Jan. 23, 1865 near Chapin's Farm, VA. There is no record of him for exactly six years until Jan. 23, 1871, when he was married in Menifee County, KY. He lived there until about 1905, when he moved to Middletown, OH. He lived in Middletown, Dayton and finally, Miamisburg, where he died in May, 1933. (Dan Bellware)

Vincent, Gideon; He came to Ohio and was married in Toledo, Ohio on November 26, 1866. Later he settled in Oregon, Ohio on Stadium Road (formerly Big Ditch Road). (Betty Ball, great-granddaughter)
