In the FOURTH REGIMENT, Col. Edwin H. Stoughton was promoted Brigadier General of Volunteers, and Lieut. Col. Charles B. Stoughton was appointed Colonel, November 5, 1862. Major George P. Foster was appointed Lieut. Colonel, and Capt. Stephen M. Pingree, of Company K, was appointed Major.
The following is the Roster of the Commissioned Officers of the Regiment at the present time.
