The Field Officers of the FIFTH REGIMENT have remained unchanged during the year. But Col. Grant has been in command of the brigade during most of the time, and the regiment has been under command of Lieut. Col. John R. Lewis.
The following is the Roster of the Commissioned Officers of the Regiment at the present time.

Assistant Surgeon Arthur F. Burdick, resigned May 26, 1863.
Assistant Surgeon Henry C. Atwood, resigned June 25, 1863.
Capt. William H. H. Peck, Co. I, transferred to Invalid Corps, Aug. 10, 1863.
Capt. Jesse A. Jewett, Co. K, resigned May 29, 1863.
First Lieut. Horace F. Morse, Co. A, resigned July 18, 1863.
The casualties among enlisted men, reported since November 1, 1862, have been as follows:--Died 55, Discharged 208, Transferred to Invalid Corps 9.
