1st Vermont Infantry
Additional Service
The majority of men who served in the First Vermont Infantry enlisted again, and served in other Vermont units, other states' unit(s), the regular army, and the navy.
According to the 1892 Revised Roster, over 600 of the rank and file of the 1st Vermont Infantry served in at least one other unit during the Civil War.
To date, 564 soldiers have been identified, and served in the following additional units (see 1-Plus for a list of names and their units):
