1st Vermont Company of Frontier Cavalry

Organized for one year's service on the Northern Frontier of Vermont, part of the 26th New York Cavalry. At least part of Company "M" organized at Rutland, Vermont, on January 4, 1865.

Left for Burlington, January 5, 1865. Quartered there in barracks on the 'Old Fair Ground," Burlington; thence moved to St. Albans, February 24, 1865. Returned to Burlington and mustered out June 27, 1865.
